chewy
This is good take from Cricinfo, provides better insight into T20, their intro article to Smart Stats is a good read http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/23046591/espncricinfo-smart-stats-new-way-understand-t20-cricket Based on IPL, Smart stats would probably give a IPL crack team XI of following: 1. Warner 2. Pant 3. Kohli 4. AB De Villiers 5. Maxwell 6. Andre Russell 7. Krunal Pandya 8. Narine 9. Bhuvi 10. Sandeep Sharma 11. Coulter-Nile Likes of Dhawan, Gambhir, Parthv, Sanju Samson, Vijay come out very poor in T20 batting department it probably needs something for Smart Wicket Takers, for bowlers it only looks at economy rate and dot balls Another useful metric is the First 10 balls strike rate (useful for identifying slog over hitters): 1. Andre Russell 2. Chris Morris 3. Jos Butler 4. Krunal Pandya 5. Uthappa Iyer, Dhoni, Morgan are in the bottom five. India really need get Krunal Pandya into T20i and ODIs asap.
