Shane Posted January 11, 2010 Author Share Posted January 11, 2010 can some one tell me why maharashtra and mumbai are 2 separate ranji teams .. anything got to do with their shoddy politics I dont think its anything to do with politics, probably with the fact that Mumbai itself produced some quality cricketers to hold its own in a Domestic Competition, however probably a Historian like Salil could answer your query better. Some of the City, State Teams Mumbai, Maharashtra Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Probably Telangana too. :hehe: Gujarat, Vadodara/Baroda, Saurashtra. Link to comment

Gujrat has Baroda, Gujrat and Saurashtra, Mumbai , Maharashtra and Vidarbha are all part of Maharashtra. On the other hand Bihar doesnt have a proper representation neither do Chattisgarh/Uttarakhand. Link to comment
