  1. Nope. Too much has happened. NZ whitewash changed the game.
  2. He is done. We are eliminated. He won't be back.
  3. Rohit is done. Reg Kohli...the ball is in BCCI's court. Do they want Kohli for the next 5 tests in England (the place where he sucks the hardest) thereby destroying our chances for the next WTC? If they drop Kohli, the series loss in BGT was worth it. If they still don't drop Kohli, they never cared in the first place and you all are just watching a puppet show. Either way, this drama allows you to get closure. Special thanks to Head and Scott Boland for their help and support throughout this endeavour. Note: This is regarding TEST cricket only. .
  4. Vvs got an mbbs seat?
  5. Scary. Only hope is a loss to get rid of these jokers. Bolunddd trump...you are our hope.
  6. Bump. He looked so good in 2020-21. Shots. Mental edge. These days looks like a pale shadow of his former self.
  7. Don't wanna be a grammar nazi but can someone edit the headline? Its so jarring lol.
  8. Don't forget the one main ingredient: Coverage. Indian coverage is absolute dogshit. Ghatiya graphics. Ghatiya commentary. Chewtiya analysis. Even if you play in Ahmedabad or Dharmashala, you still get shitty coverage. We need to work on that big time but bcci is busy minting money.
  9. Jimmy would have. Didnt he score like 700? Viv too had such a series against Eng. Tho WI were strong. Lara, Jimmy performance are next level category. Waging a battle against superior opponents while your team mates are completely and utterly incapable.
  10. Totally. And Jimmy Amarnath. Made Windies bowlers bow down to his will. --- Special mention to ABD against prime Mitch Johnson (no one except English and Saffers faced that monster). And Tendulkar against prime Aus attack 1999 (had to deal with that attack and fraud umpires). Kohli against SA 2018 in some of the spiciest pitches ever.
  11. Bumrah's carry job is unprecedented. This is GOAT of the GOATs performance territory. Apart from Hadlee, doubt any other pacer had this level of impact singlehandedly in a series. Ambrose had some couple of insane series in Aus..but dunno if it was a single handed carryjob. Bhajji's performance was GOAT level too. Greatest spin performance in a series that i have ever seen. But performing while your batsmen suck on foreign land with zero scoreboard pressure is next level madness. There is no comparison between the two.
  12. Apart from being wrong about bouncers.... This guy doesn't know how to present his point properly. Its a very critical skill for his line of work. The twin wins were path breaking. 2020 series was a practically sports movie. Arguably the greatest series ever played. This time tho, Aus have a GREAT captain who doesn't slip up in strategy unlike someone like Paine. Meanwhile, we have our worst ever test captain making it too easy for the Aussies in this series.
  13. So rude. Why the heck would i pull this outta my ass when i have been ranting about Kohli for years? Common sense lol.
  14. Barry was next level I heard. I didn't know he was an opener. He was a potential GOAT category bat who the world missed out on seeing, I heard. Fair enough. Probably Cook was a level or two below them.
  15. Technically speaking, even his 2012 exploits came cos Ashwin developed a technical problem so his accuracy went wayward. These things happen for all cricketers. But still it doesn't take away from what they were able to do. Cook literally bullied the opponents in their own home across an entire series (Pujara style). That's one hell of a body of work. Ok maybe Prime Cook is not better than them but he is pretty solid and taking the whole package into account (mindset & skills), he is right up there.
  16. Cook, Graeme Smith, Murali Vijay (For a short period of time) were all steady openers. Solid players who could perform in all conditions. Many more too if we dig in. But Sehwag carried magic. Prime Cook is as good an opener as any in the history of the game. His body of work is immense. Carrying 2 of the most high profile series wins as opener (mind boggling achievement if you think about it).
  17. Kohli worship is just a reflection of who we are as a nation. Be it cricket or politics or films.. Fan worship is deeply ingrained in our psyche to the point where all rational sense is thrown out. Slave mentality comes out in many ways. Its not going to change for a few decades atleast.
  18. Imagine Bolt saying: Just one bad second. 20 years mai, one bad second is allowed.
  19. Fully agreed. Sehwags reputation isnt due to stats alone. Dude used to struggle badly when the ball swung or seamed regardless of the country. In 2004, McGrath manhandled Sehwag in India across multiple innings. I prefer to put Sehwag in the flawed genius category. Will make the all time Indian XI. He makes all time world XI of so many experts around the globe. Thats special.
  20. Drives me nuts. That guy needs to be dropped asap but he keeps escaping. 5 years of non performance and still we mollycuddle this guy. Hope we get thrashed in Sydney and team moves on and starts the next WTC cycle on a clean slate.
  21. Yes, i wouldn't have believed it in normal circumstances.
  22. Lol. This is why Indian cricket wont ever progress. We all are nostalgic emotional fools. Kohli and his team knows this so they are giving this a shot.
  23. Lets just say my close friends know people. Its not a blind rumour.
  24. If it happens, Indian cricket deserves its humiliation. Will be fun watching it lose. Kohli was a special test captain but that time has passed. Dude shouldn't even make the squad let alone captain it. And yes, he has asked for the captaincy role. Not just a blind rumour.
