Is this the mentally toughest indian test team ever?

Agree -
There could be tougher Individuals mentally in Indian team like dravid /kumble etc etc ... But as the team this is the best I have seen In the tendulkar era this could be easily 4 - 0 or 5- 0 series in favour of England but not to be with the current team These players are tough and there to do wonders Even Australia would be proud with this performance, had they had the same talent and went on to do 2 all

There are times when players becomes heros and this is such a series for siraj. Even the hardcore haters of siraj would still appreciate this performance. Will he becomes a consistent players for test matches. Really don't care about odis and t20s.. I am talking about tets matches ... Or it's just that conditions are suitable and he performed well. What concerns me is ... His cross seam deliveries got him most of the wickets... Will this strategy work outside england? Even in England, will this strategy work during summer season? Can a bowling expert break it down for me? What I understood is .. he developed this cross seam delivery which is going out as well ... Earlier it used to come inside. Now that potent because ther wis no way for batsmen to know ..if it is going outside or inside ... Sooner or later .. this will be figured out

We want to tire out the english pace bowlers and who better than sundar for that task
-
but as for today--he should have batted ahead of jadeja in these testing conditions --- infact ahead of nair
-
Lol..you should look at the conditions as well... with that logic, akash looked better than gill and nair ---that doesnt mean anything
-
I believe so -- i think he should play ahead of jadeja your thoughts These minor changes makes huge difference in the outcome

Can we play Dhruv Jurel as a pure batsman in Test Cricket?

How in th world nair and other channi batsmen better than him -
I remember SKY calling akashdeep zehar and now I know why.... With the new ball .. he is absolutely nippy and unplayable sometimes ... He was the best bowler on sight in this test match ... Never saw him taking wickets with old ball ... He needs to add that to his skillset .. After bumrah ..he is my go to bowler in test matches for india.. Looks like he has the body to survive long tours ... Hopefully he will last remaining 3 test matches ... I am also curious to see his bowling on lively pitches

Is he in the team? -
India, Aus, SA, england has been the nemesis for a while... And now NZ.. So only other teams who are not nemesis are Bangladesh and Afg.
-
He seems to be getting the wickets consistently with a very low economy rate... This is probably the best ipl season for him so far What is working for him now? What has changed? Any experts views? As a layman .. I can see that his zip has improved. He has always had a decent line & length and that seem to continue.
-
Are you talking about t20s If you are talking. About odi or test matches ...he is ahead of everyone and on par with jaiswal
-
Dude ...those 50s are worth gold .. have you seen that series? 200 on a flat pitch doesn't say much about the batsmen ...even jadeja got 2 to 3 double hundreds in the ranji matches and we all know his technique Tough conditions and very good bowling and yet he excelled ... He should be given a go Had this guy played australia series ... It could have been a 2 all series and all the matches would have been very close
-
100% Again..I am not talking about t20s. Pls check the highlights of SA odis. Even tilak played that tournament and he didn't had any answers for short bowls and sai handled so well
-
Totally agree I want to see him play in real cricket (test cricket) not the tamasha cricket I remember seeing him SA odis and he is miles ahead of everyone who played in that tournament. He is better than some SA players as well in that tournament..likes of miller etc I think you need a good PR team to play for india
-
This guy is super good ... Really liked his technique ... Straight drive ..pull shot..pick up shot ...sweep Picture perfect Somehow ..I feel he is better than Gill and jaiswal ... But all that talent has to convert it runs ... Hopefully I would see him in test matches pretty quickly ... Hopefully ..he is not lost like amre's and others.. Can some expert tell me ... Why he is not preferred as compared to like of Gill /jaiswal
-
Ashutosh and tewatia can hit the bowl from first ball but shashank seem to be better quality and a step up
-
I have seen prasidh bowling in the last match and he looked class apart ... This guy is serious talent I agree with the fitness and all .. but he has stepped up and the last match in australia would have given him the confidence I would love to see him in Indian colours in all three formats .... But his work load has to be managed
-
finishing role is the toughest and if we find a right guy...we can win lot more games in t20 --- no brainer
-
now a days -- t20 pitches are pretty much same all across the world so he do it
-
How does it matter Use him when he is available...even if it is for 3 years
-
Probably the best T20 No 6/7 batsmen....not just in india but in the world. If india is not using him .. then wasting the best T20 talent Let the common sense prevail Hitting from first ball is not joke and doing it so consistently looks unreal. Rinku is good at that position but this guy is way better
