What honestly confuses me as a fan is seeing him miss out from the T20 or ODI sides of the India national cricket team from time to time. I look at the lineups and sometimes scratch my head. Again, this isn’t about disrespecting players like Shubman Gill (ODI) or Ishan Kishan (T20) — both are very good players and have delivered in big moments. But purely from a fan’s point of view, Jaiswal feels like someone who should be among the first names picked, not someone fighting for space. Maybe I’m missing something. Maybe selectors see technical details or team balance factors that fans like me don’t fully understand. But when you watch Jaiswal bat — the confidence, the hunger, the way he takes on bowlers — it feels obvious that he’s a special talent. Sometimes I sit there watching and think — are we overcomplicating things? Do we sometimes hesitate to back obvious talent strongly enough? At the end of the day, this is just a fan’s honest confusion, not criticism. For neutral fans especially, entertainment comes from discovering new stars, explosive hitters, and players who bring unpredictability and excitement. Also, right now there are 10 teams. Even if this increases to 12 teams, people will still watch — as long as there is exciting talent on display. In fact, if teams consistently bring in players who excite fans, even international audiences will tune in. Talent that entertains travels beyond borders. Franchises have huge financial power. Instead of relying only on the existing domestic pipeline, they should invest more seriously in nurturing their own talent. Look at how many football clubs operate — they run structured development systems with U15, U19, and U21 teams, constantly building their own future stars. I am sure there are hundreds of Mukul Choudharys in India just waiting to be found and given the right platform. Imagine if every IPL franchise had a strong long-term academy system feeding talent into the main squad. We'd see more players like Mukul Choudhary coming through — and the league would become even more exciting to watch. Just my thoughts — but performances like this are exactly what keep fans hooked.

I mean .. after 15 to 20 years of ipl .. still less than medicore players like unadkat or badoni is playing the ipl .. something seriously wrong with indian domestic system or ipl teams are not doing enough to nurture young talent ... With more than 100 crore population...they can find great talent ... May be franchises should start their own cricket training institutes all across indian with minimal training costs and start identifying and nurturing the talent who cannot afford high training costs . Any other ideas .. So boring to see jaydev sending out 160 kmph short balls and badoni hitting best of the bowlers to sixers... comeon .. franchises can do better than making 16000 crores
