The ICC has set a deadline of 25th April for all the teams to announce their squad for the Champions Trophy. But the BCCI is willing to skip that deadline set by the ICC. As ICC meeting is scheduled for April 24th in Dubai where the new ICC financial model will be adopted by the countries and the BCCI plans to announce the team after the meeting.

EIndia have missed the April 25 deadline to submit their Champions Trophy squad to the ICC. BCCI told the ICC that it could not submit the squad for "operational" reasons. The other seven countries have all announced their squads.

India’s participation in the Champions Trophy came under further jeopardy as the BCCI lost the vote on governance and constitutional changes as well as the revenue model at the latest ICC meeting.

BCCI was all this while waiting for the conclusion of the ICC meet but with the result not going their way, the Indian board has kept the option of withdrawing from the tournament to be held in England open.

Since the big three revenue model was scrapped, BCCI was keen to get a lion’s share out of ICC’s revenue as they claimed that they contribute to most of the revenue earned by the ICC. But the BCCI could get only two votes in their support as they lost the battle for revenue share by 2-8.

Kumble respects the game a lot, so it will be a green signal from captain and coach for participation. BCCI may go ahead with the tournament with a deal 400-420 mil $.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently in process of revoking the 2014 International Cricket Council (ICC) Members Participation Agreement (MPA) and are set to write a letter to the ICC on Tuesday. The BCCI’s firm yet drastic steps comes close on the heels of a Board meeting in Dubai where members voted on the freshly proposed ICC financial model.

Let the big guys at ICC worry about that, minnows like pakistan won't be consulted anyway, don't burden yourself with such decisions, just cast your vote in favor of whomever throws money at you, that's your only role at ICC #LapdogsofWhiteboards :phehe:
