Pandya at 6 is too high for him. Let's not change the team combination and what's working for the team. Let's stick to the winning combo and replace Ashwin with an additional pacer if needed but other than that, things are looking good.

 

One of the advantages of having Jadhav and Pandya is that it frees up the top order batsmen to play their natural game. It's similar to the "7 Batsmen" approach which has always worked for us, i.e. it's not just the runs the number 7 scores but the security blanked and comfort the additional batsman brings to the table which allows other batsmen, especially the top order, to play without pressure coz they know if things go wrong they have batting depth. There are just 2 matches to go so no point changing the combination.

Where India lost the plot against Sri Lanka and can make it messy with bd as well is in the middle overs 20-35. 

If we have to win against BD or any other team for that matter,  either we need to choke the opposition out and force errors or bring our strike Bowler to  pick few wickets
