How do you define God?
He who knows best. Someone who should not be questioned and should be left alone. He does the best and we should trust him quietly. No harsh criticisms etc. You can add a few more euphemisms or I will edit this later to add.
For Fineleg: Only Sachin an automatic selection in team: Ganguly KOLKATA: With the exception of Sachin Tendulkar, every Indian cricketer will have to be ready to get dropped from the team, Sourav Ganguly said on The Cricket Association of Bengal gave a colourful farewell to Sourav Ganguly. "This holds true for everyone with the only exception being Sachin Tendulkar... getting dropped and picked is a part and parcel in everyone's life," Ganguly said at a felicitation hosted by his home association CAB. The former India captain remembered his "difficult" days in 2005 when he had a spat with the then coach Greg Chappell and consequently dropped from the Indian team. ***************************************** Now Finey, why does Ganguly say that Sachin is an automatic selection? Yes, you guessed it right!:D

Point was ( although it is clear...) Sachin is just a human who is fallible and not entirely honest in the field of play ' date=' and wants to succeed at all costs ....got it ?[/quote'] God is above human virtues of honesty and dishonesty. Remember how Krishna made Yudhistar lie (or rther twist the truth)? Remember how he made Arjun hit a non-armed Karna? SRT not walking was all part of a big plan for Good to defeat Evil (Aussies) on that day

Every January the hermaphrodite seems to have faith and spirituality issues. Just give yourself up to the LORD (SRT), he will take care of you, oh nadaan munna.

Is SRT God, hmm. He was with me all the time I was growing up. He was one constant, omnipotent presence in my life full of ups and down. He has made me laugh and made me cry by his actions. He has had and still has the power to make or spoil my day. I once split with one of my grifriends-this was the end result of long chain of events starting by his getting out cheaply against Pak and spoiling my mood. Growing up, my walls were covered by his posters in various mudras. I had his rudra roop and his calming smile. I had his nataraj shot and his paddle sweeps. My mum used to remind me to mutter a prayer under my breath before going to sleep. But no one needed to remind me to look at his poster and silently thank him every night. He was my inspiration and my guide. I have flunked exams when there were cricket matches. I have skipped school. Like God he has worked in myserious ways. He has let me down and then lifted me up. Watching him play, i have forgotten the canings I sometimes got from dad. I have stood in crowds as huge as those in Tirupathi in hot sun just to catch a glimpse of him playing in a TV showroom. Just like I remember to stop and bow my head whenever I pass a temple, I pause before his pictures in shops. i have listened to his interviews like gospel. I couldnt trust the politicians. The actors were too shallow. He was a perfect idol. Is he God for me. I dont know. What do you think?

Dhondy has a good post (courtesy bumped up threads) - just posting that:
Well said, Boss. Neither should we overreact. You guys make sure you don't get sucked in into this. There are plenty of winners out there to inspire us. Shrug off the disappointment, work as hard as you can at work, and don't ignore your family. Those are the only things that matter in life.

i have experienced a lot of those feelings with the same man..ill just cite one such instance..so i broke up with this gal i had been with for the last 4 years and it was taking a toll on me..it happened last feb..and then during the CB series final when Sachin scored a century and took India home that 1 day, infact that whole week because of his performance again in the next final, i forgot all about the break up and stuff, i mean not entirely but for that 1 week i was so happy..i mean just Sachin scoring the century was there in my mind..he is one man who can take pain away from my life although for a short time..and my definition of GOD is that..one who can lift me up from such a bad state..so wen i say that he is my GOD i more or less mean it in that way..he is GOD to me :icflove:
