jalebi_bhai
Jayasuriya Sachin Kohli Aravinda De Silva Yuvi Miandad MS Dhoni (C & WK) Kapil Dev Wasim Akram Vaas Muralitharan Self imposed criteria: 1. All members have to be WC winners. 2. Team should be an all conditions team. I feel the top three are automatic picks. Three bonafide ODI ATGs. MS also doesn't require any explanation. The top order is explosive and the middle-order is industrious, with Yuvi-MS providing the muscle and Miandad-De Silva-MS the industry (you don't get anymore street smart than those three). I've gone with four specialist bowlers. Kapil Dev as the bowling all-rounder at eight. Akram is another no brainer pick imo. The best left arm pacer in ODI history and a decent bat at number nine. Vaas at ten will share new ball duties with Dev and Murali as the only front line spinner. Fifth bowler quota will be fulfilled by Jayasuriya, Yuvi and De Silva (even Sachin if needed). The only glaring deficiency in this XI I feel is the lack of express pace in the fast bowling department barring Akram. Link to comment
