CoverDrive Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Inspite of the unreliable surface in the last test I feel SA is one of the best places to play Test Cricket. It is one place where pitches really challenge the batsman with fast bowling. There is swing, seam and bounce. This has been true for many years now and I hope this does not change. Australian pitches have lost the character. This Ashes I think surprisingly only Adelaide was a challenge. They have a great team also with lot of players I really like like Amla, AB, DeKock, Rabada, Steyn, Morkel, Philander, Ngidi
Gollum Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 (edited) Not much for spinners in SA. I love English pitches, everything about cricket in Eng rocks. The pitches have something to keep all interested, the respect for tradition, lush green outfield, awesome commentary team, the high quality analysis by pundits, the timing for Indian viewers.......nothing beats test cricket in England. SA will be 2nd on my list, Aus of the late 90s and early 2000s too was excellent but in recent times the boring pitches and jingoistic commentators have made the viewing experience torture.
