Desi Cartman
I just saw on the aussie weather channel that its pouring right now but it wont rain all day. On the ABC radio they said "The game will probably get delayed". I hope they are able to play at least 30 a side game else whats the point of working from home today :nervous: Link to comment

fineleg
9.40am local time Hello everyone and welcome along to what will be coverage of India and Sri Lanka's CB Series game at Manuka Oval if and when the rain stops. Unfortunately it's been cats and dogs all morning and there are puddles everywhere. At best it's going to be something like a 25-over game, that's if drainage is good. Hand-run super soppers are trying to drain water from the covers, while a couple of normal ones are doing the rounds in the outfield. There are puddles of water near the covers, it's not looking good already I'm afraid. Link to comment

King
I think the Canberra one isn't as robust as MCG or SCG in terms of drainage or the sand is concerned. If it has rained heavily all morning then there's not much hope of getting a game underway at all. Well it'll allow us to watch the Kiwis today. Link to comment

King
The other game i.e NZ v Eng is under a bit of threat too thanks but no thanks to the weather over night. We had thunder stroms couple of nights ago and it was pouring last night too. Sun's trying hard to peek out but I suspect wet weather will greet the game at Hamilton today too. Link to comment

fineleg
On the topic' date=' I will be the first one here to openly admit that I have had terrible nightmares with images Sanath Jayasuriya hit our two-bit bowling of the 90s to every vacant co-ordinate in the ground. I had to undergo a prolonged session of counseling to recover from those images. I will be the first in line to watch ANY Indian bowler make Santh look like a fool. And going by what we have seen this series, I think we have all the required ammo to bunker-bust Sanath and his record against Ind. He did this today as well...thank God ishant sharma cut it short a little! Link to comment
Dhondy
It is not often in the past decade that I have actually looked forward to the Indian bowling taking on Jayasuriya et al. But, I cant wait. Sreesanth cant, in my opinion, bowl well to a LHB-RHB combinatio, and perhaps doesnt do well against all LHBs. He is also a person who I think needs to get pumped up mentally into a fight to bowl well - the SL match wont have the aggro of the Ind-Aus matches, and he may come off second best... Pathan's pace should be fodder for the Sri Lankans on a good track too. Prescient, or what! Link to comment
Guest HariSampath
^ @doc, I guess you meant that SanthakuMoron Sreegarkar cannot bowl to any batsman who uses some combination of a right hand and a left hand while batting Link to comment

Shehezaada
Anyway' date=' if all three bowlers remain fit, SL will be overcome. Jayasuriya hasn't ever faced Indian pace bowlers of this quality.[/quote'] don't think it's wise to bet against Jaya. The man is class. Link to comment

observer1
Anyone who doubts Sanath Jayasuriya's capacity to tear a fast bowler apart is either not old enough or not bright enough. Link to comment
