^ Also BJP RSS are ok with celebration of Sufi Islam which has origin in India. These Deobandees and neighbouring Pakistanis have missed a trick to influence Whole world. Instead of spreading their own brand of Islam, they continue to play second fiddle to Wahabi culture and declared them non Muslims.

^ again, give me a name. which Ruler of India From past preserved supported local culture? capital of India was Delhi not Tiruvanathpuram. Tiruvanathpuram zamindar had no significance front of throne of Delhi.

Sophistry.

There was no Indian capital till the British gave us one. Throne of Delhi has no significance to the kingdoms of Kerala, either.
You want muslim rulers who have treated the locals well, but will disqualify the muslim rulers because they didnt rule over ENTIRE India....illogical.

Its because Wahhabis have a billion times more money than Deobandis. Influence is spread either via the tip of a sword or the packaging of a gift. Wahhabis have the latter, Deobandis have neither.

^ I am lost again. You are telling me, Nizam, Mughals, Nawabs have less significance then some Zamindar of some small town whose name no one knows and we should delete those chapters and and new one.

First off, rulers of Kerala were rulers of small kingdoms, not zamindars.
Nobody knowing their names is irrelevant - nobody knew Ashoka's name in India either till the British dug him up.

I am simply pointing out examples of muslim rulers who were supportive of local culture. Kerala is predominantly where you find them, because of Kerala's historic structure has been small kingdoms where the rulers actively supported culture and mercantalism.

Bengal had a couple. And Sher Shah Suri is the shining example of a muslim ruler who did heck of a lot of good and was better than 99% of rulers who ruled any part of Indian subcontinent. Did not impose Jaziya, did nothing to harm the hindu religion and was centuries ahead of his time in taxation and land organization - so much so that all the mughals after him and the British up to the end of company raj followed HIS taxation and land organization model.

Your position that there has never been a muslim ruler in any part of India that benefitted the locals is wrong. Most didnt, but most does not equal all.

Here are a few names of muslim kings who did not discriminate against the Hindus but infact, supported building of temples and such, with no record of ever destroying one:
1. Shamshuddin Ilyas Shah ( First Bengal sultan)

2. Sikandar Shah (Also Bengal Sultan, gave grants to build temples)

3. Rukunuddin Barbak Shah (Also Bengal Sultan, surrounded himself with hindu scholars, much to the chargin of the Ulema).

Yes, they were exceptions, but not completely absent either.

Hinduvtas also love to gloss over the fact that there are plenty of hindu kings and emperors who've destroyed entire cities and massacred innocent civillians.

There are Sufi orders who are attuned to Indian cultural ethos, but Sufism (if I can call it that) does not have its origin in India.

Deobandis, on the other hand have their origin in India and didn't have much to do with Salafist ideology until very recently. It is still a very different strain of Islamic jurisprudence.
