Tt wasn't just Pak home umpires that were trash, Aus also had equally trash if not worse umpires back in the day, heck till 2001/02 when neutral umpires started. Yes I know our umpires weren't angels but Pak, Aus IMO were the consistently worst of the lot. That too. We should have won that Sydney test. Steve Randall and his buddy screwed us big time. 11 vs 13. Umpire strikes back Link to comment
kruiser
On this forum, in the match thread most people were asking for bhuvi/ umesh and play with 4 seamers. The selection was not wrong, the performance was. Who ever is not in the team would have done better than the one selected. Disappointing reaction by the experts, was expected by arm chair experts Link to comment
Switchblade
Quote https://www.crictracker.com/someone-has-to-be-held-accountable-if-india-lose-test-series-in-australia-sunil-gavaskar/ “We will know that [the difference between Kohli as captain and batsman] as we go forward. The Australia series is a good opportunity. If India don’t win the Test series, then we need to think what needs to change, change from the top. If we win, then it’s a different case, altogether,” Gavaskar was quoted as saying at Agenda Aaj Tak in New Delhi. “Because of the decision to field first in the Champions Trophy final, the omissions and selections in South Africa, the omissions and selections in England, and the selections and omissions in Australia. Someone has to take responsibility for all these decisions. Someone has to be held accountable,” the 69-year-old added. Link to comment
