seriously are you brother of fineleg.... you both are biggest whinners i have ever seen... pathan won us so many matches... in my opinion, he is one of the worlds best allrounders... can smack the ball hard in later overs... can swing the ball... stop crying all the time and appreciate players... and Pathan is one guy who gives it all... Pathan is a must in an Indian team...

Irfan is as important as Sachin. OK, he didnt have a great game, but u watch he will get wickets in the next match, he wont score any cuz we wont get up to him and his fielding will be awesome. He is a true match-winner.

To actually address the OP, Irfan is a VITAL one day player. Sure he had an off day yesterday but generally, he brings in excellent control, is s committed fielder and a handy batsman. As a senior member of the side, he will be kicking himself for having performed so poorly in a final I am sure.
