zen Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Practically, we have our 4 SFs. Aus, Ind, and Eng have qualified. NZ is on 11 but has a safe NRR so is likely to go to the next stage even if Pak beats BD. To move ahead, Pak may need to have an NRR of 6+ vs. BD. Below are my impressions of the teams: Aus: Overall has the most balanced side. Both batting and bowling appear to have some depth. Concerns are the form of Maxwell and 5th bowling option Eng: Bulldog appears to be peaking at the right time and the team to beat Ind: Another nicely balanced side. Bowling is its strength, while the inclusion of Pant has added another X-factor besides Pandya. As for concerns, there are multiple threads on this already NZ: More than a team, it is playing like a bunch of individuals performing. Lost 3 games in a row so confidence level could be relatively low. However, if players gain form somehow could posses challenges SF line up. Eng and NZ (or Pak) will be #3 and #4 respectively. #1 and #2 would be decided on Saturday. Please refer to the thread below: At this point, who do you think is the favorite to win the WC? Vote. Poll closes on July 7th.
