What !!?? After all the trouble ? After him even threatening to take ICC to the court ? After he so blatantly demanded money from the ICC to retire voluntarily ? Do we such dearth of good umpires ? Besides, Hair will never officiate against Pakistan, like how Bucknor wont do against Ind. Its all one big mess.

Could be Speedo's parting shot. Nevertheless, the ICC is soon to be taken over by the BCCI. We'll no longer be ar$ed with racists masquerading as ICC officials.

Hair has not stood in a major match since the Oval Test between England and Pakistan in 2006 when he and Billy Doctrove penalised Pakistan for ball-tampering. Hair withdrew his allegations of racial discrimination against the ICC - with whom he is contracted till March 2009 - seven days into a tribunal in London last October. It was then recommended that he enter a period of rehabilitation. While he was never removed from the ICC's Elite panel, he was in effect isolated as it was made clear he would not be appointed to any game involving a Full Member. Since he was suspended from standing in major cricket, Hair, has officiated in a few ODIs involving Associate countries as well as umpiring in three ICC Intercontinental Cup matches. Good decision. He is better as an umpire than all the jokers who are around these days except one or two. One hopes that experience would have taught him to give more respect to the cricketers and be more diplomatic. May be also an indication of how much Pakistan's stocks have fallen in the last 20 months. No country would probably be too bothered now if Pakistan threatens to cancel a tour on account of Hair.

But here's the upcoming nail in the coffin ... The wording of the statement from the ICC gave every indication that Hair's contract would not be extended and it stated he was free to umpire any match "in the next 12 months".

how sure are you about this ? During Jagmohan Dalmiya's reign, we were still arsed with stupid misconducts :haha:

That is a serious allegation. Not to mention, utterly baseless and perhaps a sign of the chip on your shoulder. And i am not too sure that BCCI taking over ICC is a good thing for cricket.

Daryl Hair will stand only in matches involving England, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies. He will not be allowed to officiate in matches involving any other team. Isn't that a direct statement on his racist attitude? There ICC clearly believes that he has been racist. Period.
