This is my all-time test XI to play an all-time West Indies test XI.I have chosen only on basis of performances against great West Indies teams led by Worrell,Sobers,Lloyd and Viv .

I back West Indies all-time XI and team from 1976-1995 to beat the World XI's.They posessed more match-winners with the bat and a more lethal pace attack with Sobers the equal of 2 great all-rounders in a side.However on the slower tracks the World XI's may have come out trumps because of having a great leg-sinner and bolwers who were more capable of extracting movement on flat decks.It would be virtually a pho to finish between the 1976-96 World XI and West Indies XI of the same era. Chosen only players from era of 1976-1995.when the Calypsos reigned supreme.

 

Abdul Qadir mesmerised the Calypsos home and away with his googly  in the 1980's.Mohinder Amarnath played the great pace quartet better than any pacemen in 1983 on their soil with Border virtually matching him on the 1984 tour and in the home series in 1981-82.Lillee bowed with the heart of a lion in 1975-76,1979080 and 1981-82 taking agression to its ultimate zenith.Wasim was a revelation in 1986 and 1988 surpassing speed of even Marshall.Imran was the bets performed pace bowler with 25 scalps in 1977 and 23 in 3 tests in 1988.Surprisingly Kapil Dev was the best performed all-rounder scoring a century at Trinida as well as a 98 at Antigua and taking 5 wickets on 5 ocassions. Wasim Raja in the 1970's payed the Calypso attack better than anyone on their soil averaging over 57 while Unofficially Greg Chappell performed better than any batsmen on Carribean soil in 1979 in WSC supertests averaging 69 scoring 3 centuries.Gooch in 1981 scored 2 centuries on the fastest tracks at Barbados and Kingston averaging over 57 .Gavaskar although inconsistent was supreme at his best like when scoring 121 at Delhi in 1983-84 or an unbeaten 236 at Madras in the same series.Cowdrey was an epitome of consistency home and away and at his best on the 1968 tour when he averaged over 66.No keeper was as skilled as Alan Knott who could also often come to a team's rescue with the bat.Trueman had staggering figures in the 1963 series at home with a record haul of 30 wickets.

Sachin did not play against the best ever West Indian teams.I included Lara because. he would make the all-time West Indies Xi.Tendulkar is not here because he never played against teams of Viv ,Loyd etc.

What a logic ....so you choose all time wi xi across from all era...but wxi players should only be from Pashan kaal.
