Guest HariSampath Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 For a guy to think there was no world beyond that woman's love, he must have felt very strongly about her. Either that or he took being cheated too much as a personal rejection than some outside attraction.
Lurker Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 For a guy to think there was no world beyond that woman's love' date=' he must have felt very strongly about her. I have a couple of colleagues who are quite "smart" when it comes to snooping. It is very easy for them to hack into someone's hotmail or yahoo account. Somehow I have always felt that as an insecurity of them, and not as some sort of a geek. In this story who is to say what the man unravelled?? It could be a simple flirting or something that really set him off. I would hate to guess but let me just say that internet can often bring out the best...and worst in you. Since this guy was snooping around I can bet there was an online thingy he stumbled upon.
Ram Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 If anyone is willing to kill his/her spouse for whatever be reason, that says all I need to know about that person. What a loser that guy is ! . As CC had mentioned, EVEN if the wife was having an affair with her colleague, the mere fact that he killed her for that belies the fact that he only treated her as a piece of flesh that should only serve him and no one else. With such a mentality, why did he even marry in the first place ! He could have stayed single all his life and go to brothels every day and satisfy his physical needs.

None of us know what happened so it is only fair to give both sides the benefit of the doubt. Who is to say that the wifey was being a really wild one and rubbing it in this guys face?? Would that have set him off? Maybe. No I am not defending the chap here just that we need to tread carefully. Let me paint a picture here. Guy X loves his wife Y dearly. In the beginning everything is good. Then Y starts seeing a chap at work Z. Slowly without realizing Y gets further from X. X tries to get her back, gives it his best shot. Y keeps feeding him lies. Tells him there is nothing going on. Till one day he runs into an online piece. Something that doesnt only give him info but is so devastating that it completely tears his very being. So no lets not call him a loser yet. The only person who knew what happened would be the chap the wifey was close to at work..and I am sure the cops are gunning for him right now. xxx
Ram Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 So, are you trying to suggest that, potentially there could have been such provocative circumstances that would have prevailed, for the husband to justifiably kill his wife ?
Lurker Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 So' date=' are you trying to suggest that, potentially there could have been such provocative circumstances that would have prevailed, for the husband to justifiably kill his wife ?[/quote'] Yes. This guy is no pscycopath clearly. All his colleagues, and whoever the cops interviewed, mention him as a smart and intelligent man. The chap is 30 so clearly if he had a violent past there would be some mention of that. You dont exactly see a regular 30 year old murderer called as a very intelligent smart person, do you? I am not defending the guy(atleast yet) but I am not going to be as quick in judging as some of you are. Like I said who is to say that that the girl did not exactly make his life miserable?? Who is to say that she really pushed him to the edge? Does that justify the killing? Of course not but hold the horses when it comes to judging the guy so quick. xxx

IF my wife had an extra-marital affair, I will give her one chance. If her flirtatious tendencies still dont subside, I will divorce her, not kill her. Therein lies the difference. And being "smart and intelligent" at work has got nothing to do with how the person is, in real life. Besides, if the wife cheating on him was the real reason for the murder, the coward wouldnt have committed suicide afterwards. He probably suspected her to be onto something, killed her in a fit of rage, couldnt handle the shame of facing the society the next day and therefore killed himself. And just so that his name isnt spoilt in all this, wrote a suicide accusing the wife of being dis-loyal.

Who is to say that the wifey was being a really wild one and rubbing it in this guys face?? Would that have set him off? Maybe. No I am not defending the chap here just that we need to tread carefully. Why couldn't he just leave her.....if that was the case.....? How about he was just an insecure sicko(his peeping tom habits say something about him)who had a massive inferiority complex? How about he was just the over possesive types who couldn't see his wife being friendly to a collegue? How about they were physically not compatible and he was insecure about that? How about not being able to face the fact that the wife was not into him? And even if the wife was having an affair ....Why kill her?Why not leave her? Anyways ...why would anyone want to believe a guy who was cheap enough to spy on friends and collegues? Why trust the words of a man who wasn't trusted by others?

If her flirtatious tendencies still dont subside, I will divorce her, not kill her. Therein lies the difference. Yes but you are not him, are you? So why are you judging him by your standards?? It is the easiest thing in the world to judge someone else but dont do it till you are in someone else's shoes. Again, I ask, do you know what set him off? What you are dismissing as a harmless "affair" could be lot deeper than that. What if the "other" guy was actually someone this guy had hated all his life? What if that other guy was one person he couldnt stand and finally his wife ended in bed with him?? Is that the same as "simple affair". No. Now it becomes lot worse. And being "smart and intelligent" at work has got nothing to do with how the person is, in real life. If this case was brought to the court the first thing the Defence lawyer would do is to prove how good the character of his client is. That he works in India's most admired company. That he is widely respected as smart and intelligent man. Corollary to this the Prosecutor will try to show how the lad had his run-ins with the law, how he was prone to do violent things at time etc etc. xxx
fineleg Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 what the hell is wrong with young married couples ? hitech jobs, extra marital affairs, murder, suicide...this sucks ! . Nothing to do with "today's lifestyle" or do you folks think it is to do with it? Always such exceptions will be there. Such stories are same since time immemorial. Just that today it is hitech, earlier it used to be people who were traders going abroad to Sri Lanka, Burma...etc etc. Wives alone at home. etc. Has the incidence of such events gone up in "todays hitech lifestyle"? Hard to say.

"He was very intelligent. Amit would use network sniffers to peep into what was happening in others' desktops," recalled a friend, who came to St John's Hospital. "People used to be very careful of their computer security as they knew that there was a 'Peeping Tom' monitoring their actions. Amit used a software called Iris to replicate what was displayed on a desktop," the friends added. I don't think the court would find him a good character.

Dhondy Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Imagine this scenario: Whineleg marries Fineleg. Fineleg cheats on him, say with Yograj Singh (the guy who posts here) Whineleg strangles Fineleg. There's peace on the forum again.:D
Ram Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Yes but you are not him' date=' are you? So why are you judging him by your standards??[/quote'] Coz my standards are considered to be the universally acceptable norm. If my wife has an affair with someone else and I go to court asking for divorce, the judge will readily accede to my request. But, if my wife had an affair and I killed her for that and go to court saying " Well, she was disloyal and so i killed her" , the judge isnt going to be considerate towards me. He may not hand me the death sentence and instead prefer to give me the life-term, coz it wasnt a planned murder, but still, its not without reason why its considered a crime to kill a spouse, just coz the spouse had an extra marital affair. It is the easiest thing in the world to judge someone else but dont do it till you are in someone else's shoes. Again' date=' I ask, do you know what set him off? No. Now it becomes lot worse.[/quote'] I am not speculating on the circumstances. You are absolutely right on one thing - Niether you, or me, know what was the actual truth behind all this. But nothing, absolutely NOTHING can justify him killing her. Of course it does. If this case was brought to the court the first thing the Defence lawyer would do is to prove how good the character of his client is. That he works in India's most admired company. Bill Clinton was the President of the USA and even he had the temerity to have an affair with his aide, enough said. As i said, all this record of immaculate behavior at work and otherwise may help guy from getting the death sentence, but remember, dont judge people by what you see them do at work.
beetle Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 According to the news...he put a pillow on her face and smothered her.How coldblooded is that! One can understand shooting or stabbing in a fit of fury(not justify though) to regret it later...but to put a pillow on some one's face and watch then stuggle for life anf finely fade out is as cold blooded as it gets. How can you do that to another being..? How can you do it to some one you know ? He had enough time to to remove that pillowand let her live.... He was nothing but a coldblooded murderer!

yoda Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 He should have divorced the biatch instead of killing himself.
