javier26 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 India and NZ in the last 30 years. 1992 World Cup : NZ Won 1999 World Cup : NZ Won 2000 Champions Trophy : NZ Won ( This was the final match of the tournament ) 2003 World Cup : India Won 2007 T20 World Cup : NZ Won 2016 T20 World Cup : NZ Won 2019 World Cup : NZ Won ( This was the Semi Finals) Im suprised NZ has such a good record against India in tournaments when usually Australia, South Africa and lately England are considered the Top opponents to beat .
vvvslaxman Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 They are our bogey team. India could have won a few. But they let it slip like in 2007 world T20 India was like 75/0 in 6 overs chasing 190. Sehwag and Gambhir gave a rollicking start. We just gave away wickets to Vettori.
Norman Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 92, 99 and 2000 they were a better team. So, no issues. But the 3 games after the 03 WC , we lost from winning positions.
Suhaan Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 They raise their game against us and we take our game a level below as if our boys think they are too superior for a match up
prudent_kreeda Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 whenever post 03 India lost to NZ , is due to wickets lost in the first 10-15 overs . And reason for that is the better swing bowling options of NZ and poor game of our top order against swing (Rohit , Dhawan ). This will continue unless Indian team makes a plan not to give away too many wickets in the first 10 overs against them AND make changes in the top order who play swing decently . This has to be the game plan against them .
Ajju Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 We raise our game in bilateral series against Nz they raise in wc
