Alam_dar Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 This question was actually asked by a lady doctor who worked previously in a Bio Lab. In simple words, she told that they were using the"reusable" suits in the lab and they only had to decontaminate the suits by using disinfectant spray, which was much cheaper than replacing the whole suit. This was an interesting question for me as I was also thinking upon the same lines. What if medical staff use such kind of reusable suits? * These suits are very comfortable and one could work for hours without problem. * They are 100% secure as they are air tight (While the masks used by medical staff at moment, they are not air tight and thus medical staff is at full risk of getting the infection). * Battery lasts for 12 to 18 hours a day before recharging. * Chinese made such suits were costing somewhere about 40 USD before the begin of coronavirus. Now 40 USD is not a big investment and surely hospitals/Governments are in position to invest 50 USD for every medical staff person. Actually, these types of suits are so safer and affordable, that even that group of old/sick people, who are at risk from coronavirus, could also use them easily in the public and could also afford them. Rest healthy people could go for the herd immunity. In this way, the economies could be opened relatively safely. I find this solution much more practical than going for millions of tests every day, which are expensive and which have to be "repeated" again and again.
Alam_dar Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 By the way, I have been personally using the 3M Respirator since the beginning of this crises, and I am really very happy with it. I can breath much better and easier in this respirator as compared to the normal face masks. And I don't have to throw away these respirators after every use (like normal masks), but these respirators are good for about 18 months of constant use. Only after 18 months one has to change the filter. I only have to spray them with disinfectant after every use. And I feel myself much more "secure" while using them and even got no fear when I had to take the neighbour to the hospital for coronavirus test. In hospital, many patients and their relatives asked me about this mask, and they were also interested in buying it as it provides maximum security.
Alam_dar Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 Do you believe Chinese Police is right in arresting people in this way? https://www.facebook.com/JaniOfficials/videos/227436225056508/
