fineleg Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Who do you want to see as #3 batsman for India in next Test?
putrevus Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Dravid is the number 3 period , no if and buts , Laxman is indian version of Flemming so much talent and very little to show for, he can make good 30 or 40s but he can never hold innings like what dravid does, when ever dravid fails india loses most of time, that says it all.
Parth Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 On current form, Laxman, Dravid needs to score fleuntly before he is back to his best (hope it soon) Laxman's a class player, its just would he be able to face the new ball maybe in the first over.
graphic23 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Rahul Dravid at #3. No other options. He's just too good at that position. Laxman has seemed uncomfortable to the swinging ball at times, and I'm not sure if he can build partnerships like Dravid does.

How is Laxman the indian version of Fleming? first of all Laxman has been a proven matchwinner. Second of all Laxmans average at his desired position is close to 50, you cant forget that he was forced to open early in his career when he really didn't want to basically you can blame team management and politics for it.

The Outsider Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 My mouse slipped while I was voting on this one - Yuseless for all spots in the test line up.
Rohan495 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 dravid is a better no.3 than laxman at the moment, nope. A number 3 batsmens role is to set up games and with dravids strike rate in recent times, Laxman would serve better at 3.
mhr123 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Dravid at no.3 and Laxman at no.4. U mean in the next test or for all the test.... if for all the up coming test then u r wasting SRT.
