The bar higher is International cricket, Indian players who do well in IPL eventually get India call up & see if they can replicate the performances at the international stage. Totally removing the foreign player restriction is going to make IPL like international cricket except players will be playing for IPL teams rather than their country. Teams will get defensive play safe with known Indian/foreign players and lesser lesser Indian domestic talents will get chances.
