PaiN_KiLLeR Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I use DVD Rip Master Pro & ImTOO DVD Ripper Platinum 4. Rip Master doesnt work on all DVD's so I use the other one more often.

THX_1138 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 well if you are intended to crack the CSS encryption, nothing works as well as DVD Fab (there is a shareware edition that cracks the encryption and creates an identical image, sans the encryption on your harddisk). there is no compression in the shareware edition. in order to compress the files to fit a DVD-5 (4.4 GB), use DVDShrink. it permits you to remove a bunch of useless stuff like previews, menus, and at times entire segments or combine dvds and even add a custom menu. of course, it is shareware. if you purchase a complete version of DVDFab Platinum edition (of course, obtainable from any garden variety p2p), it performs both encryption cracking and compression and in a quarter of the time required by DVDShrink. just make sure you set the audio settings... DVD-R/+R are unable to incorporate Dolby Digital Sound and most often than not, DVDFab removes that soundtrack, most authentic DVDs come with two audio tracks... a 5.1 channel soundtrack and a 2.1 channel soundtrack. DVDShrink permits you to delete one, and thus clear up more space for the video and thus a lower compression ratio which gives a smoother picture. (yes i am the hackmaster)
