rangeelaraja Posted September 27, 2021 Share Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) The ethnic Pashtuns in the Pak army are capable of siding with TTP and Afghan Talban to fight Pak to carve out greater Pakhtunistan because there have been too many forced disappearances and extra judicial killings of people protesting peacefully ( The Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement ) They are already telling Pak to stop issuing visas to enter Pak because they don’t believe in the Durand Line that separates Pashtuns. You are wrongly using the North Korean template, thinking it will work in how China deals with Pak. First of all North Korea is a totally homogenous society - Pak on other hand has huge ethnic and sectarian fault lines - Pashtuns, Baloch being the biggest headaches for the Punjabis - while Shias and Ahmeddiyas are deamed non-Muslims. The seeds of Bangladesh too was created because of ethnic fault lines where the Sunni Punjabis would just not yield to anyone else. Chinas financial assistance will count diddly squat if there is a massive civil war in Pak along these ethnic and sectarian lines.
