zen Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) In many WCs, we see teams innovating (or even bringing back old ideas back). For e.g. in ODI WC 2019, Eng put an all out attacking batting theme in play. In the recent T20WC, we saw Aus use multiple multi-skilled players in its top 7 (Marsh, Maxwell, & Stoinis, along with Wade as WK) + a strong bowling attack. Let's get our crystal balls out. What can we expect in the upcoming T20WC in Aus? Will teams like Eng and Aus continue their current strategies? WI is expected to back its big hitters (If Wi is in form, we could see some innovative big hitting). Pak is likely to focus on bringing in a strong pace attack + some big hitting batsmen. Teams like NZ could take fielding to the next level. In general, are teams expected to go big in PP or gradually keep picking up the scoring rate? Will teams attack most of the time with the ball, looking for wkts? Will we see next level fielding? I hope to see some new concepts and strategies in play! Edited February 25, 2022 by zen
zen Posted February 25, 2022 Author Posted February 25, 2022 Will be interesting to see how ENG goes in the tournament. Archer, Stokes, etc. could be back. It is also a team that may have a point to prove in Aus after its poor performance in the recent Ashes
Ankit_sharma03 Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Hard length at high pace will be the flavor of the WC
Ankit_sharma03 Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Expecting Pakistan n WI to struggle in this WC Like last Wc was end of kohli captaincy this wud be babar azam end of t20 captaincy, Rizwan is a better captain Archer hai to england hai, archer nhin to bahut mushkil My favs for this Wc wud be India , now we have the captain who knws how to win trophies NZ will do well once again

England are vastly overrated. Pakistan will get ruthlessly crushed.
zen Posted February 26, 2022 Author Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) As T20s give little time for adjustment and the format now maturing, I am hoping that many of the teams adapt a fluid batting order. In this case, only the openers are fixed. The rest of the batting line up is situation dependent. If a team is 10/2, you send in one type of batsman; if the team is 80/1, you send in a more attacking batsman. Edited February 26, 2022 by zen
