That extra split second it takes for the bat to come down from a higher backlift will always be the downfall for such players. Lone Wolf 1
Lone Wolf Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Rizwan gone as well.. Sri lankans picking crucial wickets. Fawad vs offie Mendis will decide the game right there.
Norman Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Fully expect Sri Lanka to give away the advantage with an hour of easy singles and a dropped catch somewhere. Even Bangladeshis are more ruthless than them.
Lone Wolf Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 SL should eye a 170-180 lead from here at least. Pitch is still good for batting though. Fawad was a big wicket.
Norman Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Mendis has bowled really well here. He was atrocious in the first game.

I rather want Sri Lanka to take a 170 lead than get 200+ and a possibility of giving a follow on to Pakistan. With the basic lack of tactical awareness in the Sri Lankan camp , they'd definitely put Pakistan in again and let them score 400+.

Considered by who exactly? Playing fast bowlers "well" on placid Pakistani wickets is completely different to facing them in SENA conditions. At least wait until he plays a test in SENA before judging him to be some ATG/GOAT talent. Clarke 1

Nobody is down playing. People did praise him here for a match winning 4th inns century. Anyways SC batsman get always judged in SENA countries. Indian batters rule the roost in SC but also get bashed/Praised in SENA conditions depending upon how they play. Technical faults will always be there in every batter.
Lone Wolf Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Deficit below 200 now. Yasir is a capable batter & pitch still is good for batting.
Norman Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Decent knock by Salman comes to an end. He looked fairly solid out there esp against the spinners.
Lone Wolf Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Salman's wicket has tilted this heavily in SL favor. A huge lead is there for the taking.

Chasing was tough last game even though pitch didn't turned square.. But there was decent rough. SL had two off spinner & only one left arm spinner to tackle a right hand heavy batting time. That's where they lost the game. This time they have better combination. Even though pitch is better than last game. Big lead will be decisive. Rain is also there on day 4/5 Edited July 25, 2022 by Lone Wolf
