DoYou Know:

- South Africa have lost just two of the last 11 Tests played at the venue, dating back to 2011. The losses came against Australia in 2014 and India in 2021.

- Kagiso Rabada is one five-wicket haul away from matching Vernon Philander's tally

- Among active West Indies cricketers, only Roston Chase (8 for 60) and Shannon Gabriel (8 for 62) have better bowling figures for an innings than Gudakesh Motie (7 for 37), who made his Test debut last June.

WI bowlers leaking runs... Markram already nearing a ton.. looks like WI is disinterested in Test cricket now. Just being put through the motions for the sake of being a full member. How does one set of nations stop producing hostile fast pace bowlers in the space of a generation. Mayers is a trundler akin to stuart binny and he is playing in the Test match

Most of the carribean athletes these days are more into athletic events, soccer to a lesser extent and the tall ones possibly bball. Curtley amrbose first interest was always bball. Cricket was one he grew to love gradually but not his favourite. Gone are the days of interest for cricket in the w.indies unless they play England. They reserve their best for the poms.
