zen Posted June 24, 2023 Share Posted June 24, 2023 Cricket needs newer teams to create a more competitive environment. Right now Aus and Eng are continuing the game because of its traditional roots. However, SA and NZ are losing some steam. NZ and Eng are in fact also relying on imports from SA. If cricket can catch on in a country like China, which has a huge pool to develop a variety of cricketers and where players can be focused too (as seen in some of other other sports), it can infuse freshness to the game.
