Pak shouldn't come. They don't come to play cricket. Just to eat biryani (superior to Pak biryani).

Just collect biryani at wagah border next time - kolkata, lucknow, hyderabadi all variants.

I prefer Chapli kebab bhai.

Our team is crap we took a wrong captain left real captain and generational talent Amir at home or we would be playing you in this final. We still have Aussie more challenge compare to your team in big final.

Amir is retired and was getting smashed by Yusuf Pathan in legends league.

Pak gave Aus no challenge. They lost comfortably against Travis Head-less Aus.

In 3 weeks time, Pak will be smashed in Aus where Ind won 2 series.

Plus 2024 Pak's annual thrashing at the hands of India, this time in New York.

Ex World Champions should not have to go through these bullshit Qualification especially when cricket limited to so few countries.

Qualification rules are made by ICC only.   If u are not happy with this, no one is stopping u or your countrymen from writing letter to the ICC.

Yeah, this is my concern too. We have to bowl first.

Cricviz noted that among the venues, the ball swing the least in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad .

So there is not much threat under lights in terms of movement .

The pitch is tacky during day time and you can only smash full length deliveries and the spinners get enough grip.

Under lights, margin for error is less . Gotta chase on that wicket.

This was for PAK match and since the same pitch was used for the final , we saw the difference between bowling first and batting first .

Thank God we won the toss and bowled first against Pakistan on this stupid pitch.

We would have defeated Pak either way. Pak pitch was not as bad as this one.

Quite flatter in the first innings. By the time the final came about the pitch became drier.

Do not invite Aus next time.

This is the exact sort of cheap/bankrupt thought process which is getting reflected in the state of your economy.     Aus are one of those sides who hv toured Ind the most so far and will continue to tour.   Plus Vice Versa.  Morever, a team's participation in the WC is decided by ICC rules & guidelines.  Not by the host country or its Board.  WC is not a bilateral series.  But u may continue to think like that if it makes you happy.

In the opening game at Ahmedabad the ball in first half kept doing some tricks off the pitch for NZ.

Matt Henry was able to seam it around considerably well.

Santner and Glenn Philips got good amount of turn as well.

Though it still looked like a 300 runs wicket.

As soon as England started to bowl under lights in the evening, it became a belter. No movement off the pitch, no spin. It became a typical Ahmedabad IPL pitch.

This is same as what used to happen in UAE in 6.30 PM local time start in t20 world cups/asia cups.

Batting first it used to be a 155-160 par score pitch where ball used to grip a lot and batsmen used to struggle with timing and then in 2nd innings it used to become a 200 runs par score pitch.

Although the sample size is just one game and we don't have any other game there before 14th so it is a bit concerning. If we get to bat first and don't get way above par, we may be in trouble.

Wow this is great call. Baffled why the commentators who inspected the pitch right before picked batting first as a good choice..

ICC's rule states that the teams which finish among the bottom 2 sides will hv to play the qualifiers in the next WC.  Like the 2019WC,  SL  finished at the bottom this time, so they will also hv to play the qualifiers for WC2027.  They also played the qualifiers this year as well.   They are also Ex Champions.  Why don't you question SL's participation in these bullshit qualification?   Do you live under a rock or something?

It is stupid rule. We already have just 3 teams who care about test cricket. ICC need to stop pretending they are FIFA. Cricket was colonial project for upper class of English society. That is why it is called gentlemen sport.

It is indeed a stupid rule by ICC.   But I was replying to your post in which u had stated that Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) got Windies disqualified from the 2023 ODI WC.   Hope u hv got what I was trying to convey.

we both agree that ex champions should qualify automatically for big tournaments or they look like expanded South Asia Cup as was the case for this cup.
