SachDan Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Ian Chappel,Ian Botham,Mark Taylor,Mark Waugh,Carl Hooper,Mohd.Azharuddin,Ricky ponting...There has been so many great slip fielders over the years...But if you were the captain and needed to have a lone slip who would it be? Ian Botham.
Sachinism Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Mark Waugh probably, but there have been a lot of awesome ones
The Outsider Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 M Waugh. Can't remember him dropping too many and have seen him make quite a few which others would have let go.
SachDan Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Solkar. Solkar was a specialist Short Leg fielder.
The Outsider Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Solkar in the slips? We never had pace bowlers when Solkar was around and for spinners he used to be at short leg.
graphic23 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Solkar was a specialist Short Leg fielder. :nervous: I read short leg instead of slip. :(( Um, for slip, Laxman probably.
The Outsider Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 :nervous: I read short leg instead of slip. :(( Um, for slip, Laxman probably. Were you hanging out with Asif recently?:winky:
Gambit Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Among the ones I've seen, Warne, Taylor, Waugh and Dravid stand out. Oh and also, Brian McMillan.
graphic23 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Were you hanging out with Asif recently?:winky: No.I was going over my philosophy paper. :P
Predator_05 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Azharuddin, without a doubt. If he is still serving a ban for being a crook, i'd bribe Fatty Taylor with a six pack of VB.
Mr. Wicket Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Younis Khan Still not taking our advice and getting surgery to remove your head from your arse, manali?
Sir Vivian Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Junior. He had the safest hands ever seen and would have to be first picked.
satishg Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Mark Waugh..he was amazing in the slips and he makes it look so simple..he is the all time best slip fielder and Mark Taylor comes very very close to him..RD and VVS are gud too so is Azhar..but Mark Waugh and Mark Taylor are a class apart
