I used to lurk around on SN regularly back in 03-04. The place was a war-zone with every second thread turning into a virtual battlefield. More entertaining than any soap on TV! Recently I tried looking up some of the old threads of that time, but couldn't locate them. I think they have been deleted.

Are you serious about Praveen being a test material ? He is worth a try, I'd agree. But, I dont reckon his success in ODIs, makes him an excitable prospect in Tests. As you already know, in Tests, bowlers will have to endure long periods of drought, without losing heart. Big partnerships, flat decks, attacking batsmen, punishing weather etc, will ground most average bowlers to dust. To me, Praveen is a bit like Irfan Pathan or Ajit Agarkar, at this point. A genuine swing bowler, who depends heavily on the new ball to take wickets. He is not pacy, not the Zaheer style 'hit-the-deck-hard' type, who can get some purchase on all surfaces. Besides, given Praveen's frame, his ability to bowl long spells, is also questionable. We'll only know if we give him a chance. If he continues to pick top order wickets like this, I'll slot him in the XI against a low key opponent & see how he performs. But I reckon, he will be our ODI specialist.

I was wondering, could you guys sue that other board for stealing your identity? I know it's not the same thing but the World Wildlife Fund made the WWE change it's initials because they thought it would be confusing. Now there is a world of difference between the Fund and the Federation, they are entirely different entities yet the case was upheld. Dont you think you guys have a stronger case considering that both boards are about Indian cricket and people looking for the real IC Fans will end up on this impostor IC Fever board?
If you had followed the posts above closely, you would have noticed that we are the breakaway group and site. Now, you can try to get in touch with the mods of bukhaar and get them to sue us.:D

That's some obsession you've got there. I've no reason to hate Pakistani's to that extent. But I shouldn't judge I guess you must have some traumatic experiences in your personal life which makes you hate them so much.

I think pakis spend much more (per head) on defence than we do. Besides India is swimming in money. Corrupt politicians and inequal distribution between rich and poor are the real cause for those poor childrens plight. India has enough money (after deducting defence costs) to match the annual income of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Where is it going? Into corrupt pockets!

all indian govt does is pour money up its own *****. We need to fix our country b4 taking care (or trying) of others. We have our own problems with caste systems, education, etc.

That's just pathetic. But I have to ask. Why names like akram, gilchrist and freddie? Why pretend to be Pakistani, English or Aussie? Why not go in as an Indian fan?
i made it quite clear that i was an indian supporter... but the reasons i used those names because those players inspired me to play this game. Akram was a hero from day one, and his silly antics and lack of sportsmanspirit not withstanding, i was amazed by his skill... as for freddie, everyone here calls me freddie, but it has more to do with my stodgy batting, ability to empty pints in minutes and a weird accent that is best described as years and years of english at an indian accent which to my fellow americans sounds british (go figure).

neither organization has trademarked the name, nor is it the name of an individual, and finally neither sites is using it for monetary benefit.
