Why even go to India in the first place ? There is nothing worth seeing there. Since you are an Indian, you won't see anything special that you weren't already familar with. If money isn't too big an issue, travel abroad. You will see things you haven't seen before, eat food you haven't eaten before, meet different people you never interacted with in your life. Go visit the Gold Coast in Australia, the Swiss Alps, Cyprus, Sicily, somewhere on the gulf of Thailand...etc. You know what i mean, a place which is new and different. What is the point in spending your time (and hard-earned money) visiting India, the same old country you have been to, seen, and lived in already ? If i was in your position, India would be the last place i'd ever visit

Because I'm moving to Australia in January, my wedding is in India and I have hardly traveled anywhere within India when I was living there.

you guys recommend any place for honeymoon placed in India during dec / jan time? was thinking of darjeeling or sikkim but heard it gets too cold around that time.
Thanks for the suggestion' date=' but I don't bend that way :winky:[/quote']

Go to God's own country...You won't find a better place than kerala in India. Normally people comes to Cochin,Trivandrum,Alapuzha, were backwaters is a true cherish...But I'll recommend you to come to the non-explored Malabar part of Kerala...Weather is awesome.lots of forts, hill areas, museums etc. If you are a true cricket lover,be ready to see the Tellicherry Municipal Stadium where it's told cricket was first started in India more than 210 years ago...where a lot of British Lord's used to play cricket at that time. And its also a special place coz its danramrah's home town :winky:

how about Sri-Lanka...not the places nearing conflict area..but the southern SriLanka.. Sri Lanka is heavily promoting its tourist places in india...culturally also..we have similarities.. Now Hindi News channels are really helping SL govt by showing places of religious importance of Hindus and Buddhists in SL.. SL is in my radar for a visit in future...i like SL and its people..

If choosing Nepal opt for Pokhara or some resort in Nagarkot in the foothills of Everest peak
