Lurker Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Mine would be in 1st year of Engineering College. My college had 50% students from rest of the country and 50% from my home state, as is the norm in RECs. At the time there was a domination of North Indians in Athletics events, specially Power events(Discuss, Javelin and Shot Put). Without going much in detail lets just say it was often said to be a case of some extra genes and all that jazz. So it was a great achievement(for me) that I beat the already famous champs in all the power events in my very first year. I also won a few other events so it was overall quite good. Even though I represented my college in cricket and couple of other events, with fairly decent performance but that 1st Year Annula Sports makes me most proud. It gave me the inherent beleive that anything is possible and there are no stereotypes.
