What are some of the Nirvana's hits? Come as You Are comes to mind..was a good one too. Is Janies Got a Gun a Nirvana or AeroSmith? By the way where would you put U2 in list of rock greats? And as a song Livin on a Prayer(Bon Jovi)?
coffee_rules Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Most rock bands come out being authentic/original, but eventually blend their music into mainstream. Bon Jovi, U2, Aerosmith are all such bands who got sold out for fame in Pop music. Very few bands stayed original. I used to like Metallica, but they became a pro-establishment band with their stance on sharing music online. Again sold out. But Nirvana tried to stay niche at Grunge as much as possible, but then Cobain died out. I like Nirvana, GNR, Pearl Jam, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Metallica and U2 (to some extent). Some of best Nirvana songs - Lithium, breed, all apologies, come as you are, man who sold the world, where did you sleep last night. rant over.
