We are destined to lose this test in the most painful way possible

But you never know when you're in the field bowling. A sprain, some muscle pull when you're straining for that extra yard of pace, or a side strain etc. Anything is possible and that's why Aussies have done their best to make us and Bumrah bowl so much.

But Bumrah has a more fragile body, so all of the above are feasible. Since Cummins' early injuries and return to test team, he has almost never broken down. Ditto for Bolund

Again I don't think the target is outlandish and the only reason I believe so is because we have some players in our team who can really turn it on when it is required. Again I don't think it will be Rohit's decision alone to go for the draw or not, there is Gambhir plus I'm sure Kohli has a voice as well.

I don't think we will win just going by how this match has gone up till now but I definitely think we will try

Adelaide 2014 we were 315 a.o in 87 overs, no reason we can't be 340 odd in 90 overs tomorrow. I know pitch is different but that is where the big hitters come in @Ultimate_Game

That Adelaide pitch was a patta. This MCG pitch is behaving with uneven bounce and seam movement.

Never say Never. Anything could happen. Remember how Pandya injured himself in WC 2023 trying to stop the ball with his feet? Keep them in the field for a day and tire them.

Our lower order will manage to bat a bit longer than that. But our top order has to show up. We can't have Rohit and Kohli continue to fail as always. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day but our "seniors" are even worse than that.

Pandu is also notoriously fragile. Cummins is not

We can always hope "King" Kohli runs him over and rams his bat in Cummins' back while taking a quick single :--D

rohit should do it since him getting banned would be even better

For that you've to hit the ball with your bat and should be able to run fast. Cummins would be able to see Rohit trudging along a mile away and side step easily. This tactic is more suited to Kohli. Now if this was 3rd innings of the match and Aussies had to bat after us, you would've wanted for Rohit to take a couple of runs right down the middle of the pitch and hopefully "open" up some cracks or create some new ones :giggle:
