People having been talking about having a split coaching setup in the threads. 

 

They are probably fooled by Champions trophy win. The problem with Gambhir isn't the format, he is simply not good enough to be a coach. 

 

Being a head coach of an Indian Team is entirely different from being an assistant to Chandrakant Pandit at KKR. He never any real coaching experience. 

 

Plus he was known for having weird opinions. He believed Ashwin could be our number 4 in ODI in 19 World Cup and predicted Buttler as the highest scorer pf 23 World Cup. And so many more hilarious takes. 

 

He inherited a brilliant limited overs set up that had two flawless campains in ODI and T20 World Cups. Winning Champions Trophy was hardly a surprise for the best ODI team. 

 

His ideas are archaic. He should go.

CT was won on coattails of the team Rohit Dravid built. GG did not do anything special. Infact if not for injury, Shreyas would never have played

Gambhir's reputation is unearned. Whatever they attribute to him should infact go to Chandrakant Pandit who is what people imagine Gambhir is on steroids.
