They are making inroads even in tennis where India historically was much better (3 Davis Cup finals, Amritraj, Krishnans). Also there is hockey, where we should start making teams in some of the powerhouses. Golf is another one, where East Asians are surging ahead, especially their ladies. India has great wrestling culture, but no representation....even in US HS levels, zero Indian representation while East Asians do very well.

Yeah the demographics who do well in Indian wrestling and those who immigrate to USA are completely exclusive.

Huge Punjabi/Haryanvi population (many of them blue collar) among the immigrants to US/Canada. Yet no prominent wrestler even in their high school level.

In fact even in chess in US, Abhimanyu is a rare Indian guy doing well. Otherwise completely dominated by Chinese origin kids.

Watched some of King's bowling, beautiful. We have to be wary of her.

She was POTS in the Women's Ashes earlier this year. Top wicket taker in the one-off test as well as white ball leg as Aussies whitewashed Poms in all formats.

That ball to Beaumont was like Warne's ball to Gatting, from the Shane Warne end to boot.

Aus 98/3 in 16.5 overs

RSA NRR is now negative despite 5 wins :hysterical:

Ind vs Aus SF confirmed, on Thursday (Oct 30), Navi Mumbai, same venue as Ind-NZ game. Aussies haven't played a single game at that venue.

Eng vs RSA on Wednesday (Oct 29), Guwahati....same venue where they faced off in the group stage. RSA 69 all out and Eng won by 10 wickets, 16 overs to spare.

Indian bowling is going to cost us. Only team that challenges Australian bowling is India. But our bowling is poor. You need an all star bowling and Indian batting to beat Australai

Glad we won the match against NZ. Today's match looks a washout and we wouldn't have qualified if we depended on this match.

If we had lost to NZ as well, that means we would've lost to Aus, Eng, SA and NZ. We didn't deserve to reach the SF if we couldn't beat any of the top 4 teams. Rain or not I would've preferred India not reach SF if they had lost to NZ as well. You shouldn't reach SF just by beating 3 minnows (Pak, B'desh, SL) and losing to everyone else as that result would've been grossly unfair to NZ or any other team which missed out on a SF spot.

Did they do ground inspection properly. Pratika's foot got stuck.  She limped her way out of the ground. Looks bad though.  Smriti has asked other players to be careful while doing slide or anything on the boundary. This is a new ground. at Navi Mumbai. WHy couldn't these morons host at marquee venues.

Amanjout is opening as Prateeka is out for the match. Not sure if she can recover for semi final. They should try to bring in some other opener. Can't go in with AManot in semi final
