Play youngsters who are under 25 years of age and hope that by the time they turn 28-29, they will learn the skill and can serve the team for next 4-5 years. Ishant was inducted at age of 19, Bumrah by 22-23, Shami was 23, Umesh was 23... They all took their time but served decently. Siraj in comparison became a regular by age of 27, he is already 31...just a couple of years and he too will lose his zip...just one injury away. Akashdeep got chances at age of 27, Prasidh around 27...Mukesh 31. Harshit is the only pacer who is under 25 and has played Tests...instead of building on that experience TM ditched him in search of a new fancy name..and they got Kambojh. No clue about Mayank and his long term fitness for Tests...but our Test bowling seriously need an overhaul. T20 & ODI bowling can still survive courtesy of our ability to read conditions...but in Tests, you've to be a performer for all 5 days. Yes, exactly the point, have been trying to say this Ind bowlers takes time to develop. So need to pick them and try to develop them. There is no other way... Was posting this when they were trying Umran in white-ball. Suggested that Ind should give Umran chances in Odis along side Bhumrah/Sami..etc (senior) so that he is not under pressure every-ball that what if he bowls 1 bad over and game will be lost, if he was tried with them , then there was some cushion for him that 1 bad over wont cost a match and senior bowlers can equalize that. Why are these youngsters not getting those chances.Bumrah was playing for Mumbai since 2014 if I am not wrong. Are they not being scouted or being left out for any other reasons. Scouts need a ready made product. They dont want a work in progress. By the time, they get a finished product he is already 29-30. Plus T20 skills are very different from Tests. putrevus and tapandrun 2

Good coach and good captain are missing from this team. Bumrah is better bowler than both Umesh and Shami but he is being overworked. Each bowler is different .Yadav was skiddy and quick and great with reverse swing ,So was shami.Bumrah with his action is not much of reverse swing bowler and siraj jas been disappointing.

Yes each are different, I was talking about difference between that bowling attack and this one. Coaching and team selections played a huge role in this mess. Shami is still bowling well, he should have played in the series.
