Like him! He and Madhav Tiwari type of players are what we need. And both Shegde and Madhav Tiwari are also medium pace all-rounders!

Need to give them more chances and see how they bowl.

How has Madhav Tiwari performed in Ranji, Vijay Hazare, SMAT format. Have you followed him in domestic cricket or are your views just on basis of yesterdays IPL match. What can he give to the team he plays for.

think he has not played domestic yet, ipl selection is based on local t20 league

SMAT should be factored in for selection. Urvil patel's SMAT performance reflects here. He had the lowest balls per six above Abhishek there. You can see the same here. They have to replicate this in both places. Kishan did, Abhishek did.

Haven't seen him before yesterday but really liked what I saw. He looks much better than 3D Shankar and Nitish Reddy. Bowled with more pace and looked like a proper batter who can hit. Shegde too is a medium pace all-rounder but haven't seen him bowl. We need to send these guys - Madhav, Shegde, Nitish, Aquib etc. to A tours to see how good they are and fast track a couple to back Pandya.

Next WC is in SA and the WT20 is going to be in Aus so we'll need pacers and all-round options who can bat. This IPL season has been a pleasant surprise. I didn't know we had players like these in our domestic system.

Kudos to the scouts for identifying and selecting him coz he looked much better than some of the domestic performers.

Without a doubt. Abhishek was the highest 6 hitter in SMAT before he broke through in Indian team. And Kishan had a stellar SMAT before the recent WT20. Urvil is doing the same. You have to pick your domestic performers. There's a clear correlation between SMAT performers and intl performances.

Madhav has a good bowling action and was very confident. He didn't show any nerves while bowling.

Can't believe he has never played at domestic level before. He has the skills and looked like he belonged. Amazing!
