They won't have the previous baggage of losing to India like Zimbu and Rizwan. Unlike both these batsmen, these new batch of batsmen are playing fearless cricket and also better strokemakers as well. If everything falls into place we might see an upset.

Maaz Sadaqat is a pure T20 batsman Seen his batting in the CPL and he's a destructive batter Let's see how he performs at the international level

CPL is a low quality tournament.  Has been for sometime.  Shadab Khan is taking hattrick there lol

None of these guys are a patch on talent of Tanzid Tamim and Parvez Emon.  Uber Dangerous at the top.  Emon has already bashed Pak before.

 

I think Pak M will play bronze medal match.

 

Though watch out for Pak spinners.. they clearly are best in Asia in shortest format

Overall a poorly organised event by Japan till now. Hearing various complaints from athletes of different countries. Even Indian athletes are not holding back.

 

Even at the Chess Olympiad our Chess contingent complained about poor co ordination by the Uzbeks in allocating the rooms which made them wait for 6 hours after getting off three connecting flights.

 

Indian fans are rightly informing everyone what the situation and bad PR would have been like if this was India.

At a similar GDP China was already #2 in Olympics medal tally. We don't have the necessary infra nor the slight push from parents to participate in Sports which gives us a low Athletic pool.

 

And out of this most athletes start very late unlike China where potential athletes are identified at a very young age like 6 years old which helps them develop an athletes body.

 

And we are still debating whether we should consume eggs or not when most of our children were suffering from growth stunting.

Biggest problem is lack of infra...  We have absolutely nothing to get the kids even through schooling system which is basically step 1.

 

China invested into grass roots, proper nutrition and things like that.  We don't have anything remotely close to it.   There is malnutrition and protein deficiency at highest level in subcontinent.

 

 

As of now strategy is to find raw talent via athletics and track and field and give them coaching and stuff.

Technical sports most of the funding is reserved for shooting.  And shooters always underperform in big events.
