theguyinallblue Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 According to Hindu Marriage Act... a Hindu can only have one married wife. now if a Rich Hindu person...loves 4 girls...and girls are ready to live with him and share him.... that person converts to Islam...gets married to 4 girls...and then again reconvert to Hinduism.. so now..that person is a converted Hindu ... and has 4 wives... how will Indian court look at this case. :--D

But not anymore. The exact same thing happened and Indian law came to a dead end. Supreme court had that that time created some guidelines to deal with such a situation. But now, when the guy converts back to HUnduism, he will be left with one wife only.

If not, all will move on and have a peaceful life. So, the first wives of Dharmendra, Boney Kapoor, Raj Babbar have compromised and haven't pursued the case legally. There is nothing a few notes of money/Power cannot purchase. May be the wives don't want to embarass the husbands in public. There are many jamindaars in Indian villages who go on and have multiple wives, and because the wives are submissive, nobody gets arrested/tried by law because if there is no one complaining, why would the government take any action.
