Desi Cartman Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I was listening to the some experts on radio and they were talking about gene modifications etc to develop more muscles and blood. They also mentioned that only 1 in 4-5 athletes will get tested so some participants take the risk knowing this fact.
Aditi Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 All these women weight-lifters have very odd names. Surely, Bill Clinton will beg to differ :winky:
Tapioca Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 All these women weight-lifters have very odd names. Yeah. The name of every woman from Manipur seem to end with Devi.
DomainK Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 lol....Monica devi....whats that?::hysterical: Most of our athletes come from financially backward background, are not highly educated and do not understand the complications. It has become very necessary for our authorities to educate them on these subjects when they start doing well at state levels.
Rajiv Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Yeah. The name of every woman from Manipur seem to end with Devi. So, she was just called Phoolan then
Lurker Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Yeah. The name of every woman from Manipur seem to end with Devi. That is true in Central India as well, specially villages.Every other lady has Devi as surname(Rabri Devi for example). Every other gentleman has Ram as first name - Ram Avtar, Ram Khilawan etc etc etc. In medium size town the girls often carry surname of Rani..as in Sunita Rani, Jaya Rani..these days it is kinda made fun of though.
