King Tendulkar
Pains me to say this about indian legend who I love to bits. But I think he should call it quits and retire! He is bowling is seriously mediocre now and I feel he should make way now! He has been very average IMO for nearly a year now! Link to comment
Ram
He has some decisions to make, thats for sure. Dont expect him to call it quits right now though. The Aussie series will probably be his last. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Will he quit? Never know he is a man of dignity. Would the selectors have the courage to axe him? Doubt it! Would the selctors have the courage to axe Ganguly? Link to comment
cowboysfan
kumble is a gentleman-if he feels like he cant contribute against the aussies in home conditions then he will quit-lets wait and see. Link to comment
SachDan
Ganguly most likely will face the axe and Kumble should get a chance against Aussies so that he can leave the field on a high Link to comment
bharat297
I wouldnt drop Kumble ... Chawla and Ojha are not ready to step up as the main spinner. Neither of them have the accuracy or the variety of Kumble. Harbhajan is bowling well ... but historically , stats have shown that he is a much better bowler when Kumble is in the team Why? Because very often Kumble is there at one end plugging away and drying up runs , so batsman go after Bhajji and lose their wicket. It has happened before with many spin combos. Kumble, will turn things around. You dont take 600+ wickets unless ur a great bowler ... he will turn things around, and it will be the dumbest move of the century to drop him for the Aussie series because the Aussies have never been able to play him with ease. SachDan
He must be in the team for the Australia series and if fails to dominate them,it should be curtains to his career. Link to comment
Desi Cartman
Aus series should be his last no matter how he plays. The problem with kumble retiring is that it will mean the end of RD and SG as well. MSD will get the captaincy and IMO he wouldnt want these 2 guys in the side. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
Kumble's bowling always has been about brains ( subtle variation and intelligent sequencing) than brawns ( huge turns).... Me thinks most of his cerebral CPU gets occupied by sheperding his troops in field and the obvious impact of that is felt by kumble the crebral bowler.. Link to comment

Sachinism
What has happened to kumble?:( He's been the only bowler we could rely on in the last god knows how many years its such a shame to see him bowling like this :(( Link to comment
retterimp
can kumble be described as a 'mcgrath' of spin? mcgrath never had massive swinging deliveries, or toe crushing yorkers, but still is one of the greatest ever due to plugging away at good-length area. However, mcgrath somehow got wickets even with his simple strategies, whereas kumble has been unable to use his consistency to actually get wickets. Probably shows that Mcgrath has been more creative, used his limited strengths to the max, than kumble has. Link to comment
