sandtest Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Saw Akhil Kumar's interview yesterday. This man is very clear in thoughts, confident and articulate enough. Reminds me of Dhoni. Whatever will be the final medal outcome, his following quote is one of the BEST I have heard in a long time from an Indian sportsperson. "Sapne toh woh nahin jo ke aap sone ke baad dekhte hain, sapne toh woh hote hain jo aapko sone hee nahi dete" Translate -- "Dreams are not those which you get while sleeping. Dreams are those that don't let you sleep" Move over Mark Twains, Mahatmas and National leaders, here is a boy from Bhiwani, Haryana who is going to stay. Btw.. he defeated Russian Boxer Sergey-- the current world champoins to qualify for next round.. Go. Akhil! Bring one more honor for your motherland. :two_thumbs_up:
Sachinism Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 good on him hope he can make a name for himself
SachDan Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 By beating the world no.1 he has shown that ability is there.
DomainK Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 One more win for him and we will have another medal for India. He has already beaten the world champion. No reason why he cant win gold.
