DomainK Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 The Axe ad dark temptation (see the ad belowl) has not gone well with the I&B ministry. They think its vulgar. They have asked to stop the ad immediately. HUL has been asked to present their case soon and after a hearing, I&B will decide if the ad can still be aired. Is it indeed vulgar or is it really vulgar compared to what we see on some tv channels in the form of music videos and movie promos? Are the different moral guardians acting by different standards? I have seen the ad I dont think it crosses the lines. The point is that the deo attracts women sexually. They have to make ads suitable for that. Watch the ad here: http://www.afaqs.com/perl/advertising/creative_showcase/index.html?id=6192&media=TV

PaiN_KiLLeR Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 The Ad is cool. What they should be banning are those third rate shows shown on Bindass TV & other channels (like the one posted by cybervickey).

Yes, the Amul underwear ad that came with the catch line "Ya to bada toing hai". The woman fantasizes as she washes the underwear.
THX_1138 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 its funny how they ban advertisements for certain products. i remember how they once banned an ad for condoms in india since it was too sexual in nature. really? too sexual? condoms are not related to sex? or are they just improvised party balloons?
