Dinx - the Jinx
Here is my XI Ramesh SS Das Venugopal Rao Vinod Kambli (although he had a fair run at international level, I think he never achieved wat he was capable of) Praveen Amre Sadanand Vishwanath (WK) Balaji Sunil Joshi Tinu Yohannnan Sivaramakrishnan Debashish Mohanty (a great swing bowling talent) Link to comment
Ram
I object to Deep Dasgupta being called a 'Talent', even if it has the verb 'Wasted' preceeding it. He was crap, full stop. Same goes for Rohan Gavaskar. Agarkar isnt a wasted Talent. You dont call someone who has played nearly 200 ODIs, taken nearly 300 wickets a 'wasted talent'. He did what he could do and that was that. Dinesh Karthik shouldnt be there in that list, atleast not as yet. My wasted talent list would be; ( not neccessarily a playing eleven) Sriram Sharath Badani Kanitkar Amre Kambli Rayudu* Venugopal Murali Karthik Amol Mazumdar~ Aakash Chopra VRV Singh Amit Mishra Devang Gandhi Mithun Manhas~ Ramesh * - Not entire sure about this. I have actually not seen him play at all. ~ - Credit for including these two should go to Salil. He has talked at lenghts with me about how Amol Mazumdar is probably one of India's best ever batsman never to have played for the country. Link to comment

Dude he is 23 ......shelf life and turn around time of a Indian pace bowler is very short. He may comeback any time. Also here's hoping Chopra gets another chance.:nervous: Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
lets talk about only those who do not have a chance of cming back.. karthik, vrv singh, akash chopra, can still make a cme back... i'm surprised to see amit mishra here... its ust that his first call is getting delayed... how can you write him off so early? Ram
One guy I forgot was the medium pacer Harvinder Singh. He may not have set the world on fire, but he wasnt the worst bowler around. He could have certainly done more for India. There was this another turbaned Sikh off spinner, who played quite a lot of ODIs for us, during the early to mid 2000s. Again he wasnt the best around, but bowled quite a lot of useful spells. His name slips my memory. Link to comment
Ram
How about Amay Khurasia, the promising middle order left handed batsman from Madhya Pradesh? He had quite an hype around him when he debuted for India and he didnt look that bad either. The only problem was, we couldnt look at for him for too much longer. Clearly remember, in his debut ODI, he was bowled first ball, around his legs, by a 150 kmph Shoaib Akhtar Thunderbolt Link to comment
Ram
O.K, my list keeps growing. :D Next is Abhijit Kale. He was a promising batsman, quite close to an India call, when the unthinkable happened. He was banned from FC for offering bribes to a zonal selector to pick him in the eleven.Irrespective of that, he was known to be a decent bat. Link to comment

yoda
I would like to add the following: 1. Sachin Tendulkar - when the team needed him 2. Saurav Ganguly - when we were playing a non-minnow 3. VVS Laxman - when we were playing a team other than ozzies 4. Sehwag - 10 tests after hitting a 150+ 5. Harbhajan - 10 tests after taking 2 wickets in an inning Link to comment
