gday all just wondering if anyone can recommend where's good to sit at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore? will b over for the test matches in a couple of weeks! cheers, polks

Sit near the 3rd man/long-on boundary. Perfect view under a good shade. Costs a lot more than the gallery.

N Stand (exactly opp. to pavilion), P1 and P2 Stands (on top of pavilion) are right behind the sight screen and hence offer the best view (like you watch on tv when the ball is being bowled). M1, M2 ae also fairly good, but slightlty at an angle (fineleg, 3rd man position). Dont ever go for A,B,C stands as they are square of the wicket (you can see the ball turning), although they are cheaper. Finally, the pricing. P1, P2 are on the expensive side around 1500 per day. M1, M2 are issued only if you are a member of the KSCA. The best for paying public in terms of both view and price is the N stand, which comes at 450 per day (I heard that thi is inclusive of lunch). Season tickets are already on sale at ticketpro.in. Also, the site has a stadium layout. Daily tickets are expected in a week's time, but they will be gone quickly. If you are someone very serious about your cricket, i would recommend that you buy season tickets for N stand and enjoy the game in peace for 5 days. Hope this helps :) I've already got myself season tickets to the N stand and got 3 days of leave approved as well. ie thu, fri and mon. If you do cme to N stand, see yo there. Note: If yo're familiar with the layout of the Chepauk stadium, then N stand at Chinnaswamy is a ditto of D stand at Chepauk.

@cowboysfan - dude I fully understand and appreciate what you were talking about. guys with atleast half decent cricket knowledge and had been to cricket stadiums to watch cricket, would understand what you meant. I totally agree with you. Sitting close to sight screen offers the best view. In most grounds, the commentary boxes and press boxes are built on the terrace just above the sigh screen. if guys like sachinism, who never venture out to stadium to watch cricket, just sit at home and watch on tv and think that they are major critics of the game, just dont bother. simply ignore. also dravid's comment "sight screen se dosti kya?" clearly shows how ignorant he is about watching cricket at the venue. its not even worth showing :finger: to guys like him... btw.. are yo in blre and coming for the test match?

You have to stay within your stand. Different stands are priced differently. Also, you cant get on the turf. Not like in England or Australia, where just few years ago, spectators can easily jump the fence and get on the ground. In india almost all stands have high fencing so, you cant get on the ground.

nope.I lived in bangalore but right now I am in texas but I will be back next year.hopefully i can watch a match somewhere in the country-i really miss it.

Hello folks, I assume this is the right thread for this question. Planning to go for the RCB vs MI match in Chinnaswamy stadium. Main intention is to see Sachin in the ground. :--D Which stand is best for seeing the players (budget < 4000 per ticket)? From the layout, I can see that "BLACK DOG PAVILLION (P1)" stand is the nearest to the pavilion/dug out. Would that be the best option? Would be grateful if somebody who has been to Chinnaswamy stadium for IPL matches could provide some info. Thanks. Apologies for digging out a thread from 4 years back.

any plans for this concrete bowl to be refurbished/re built? it is supposed to be one of indias signature stadiums but the facilities are pre historic and embarrassing.
