Ram Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 This 100 by VVS is comforting in more than one ways. One, it still shows he’s in more than decent touch with the bat. Number two, more importantly, it restores confidence among the fans that the members of the Fab 4 ( soon to be Fab 3, after Saurav is gone), are still capable of scoring big runs. Till a while ago, it almost looked like among the batsman, only Sehwag seemed capable of scoring big 100s. This innings of VVS bodes well for the future.

Even in this game, he came at #5, so it definitely helped. All along, if he had been playing #5, he could have gotten 20. I mean seriously, he has been better than Ganguly since 2000, and even Gangs has more hundreds.
