saneindian
Well he is ranked 16 so not a million miles away. But no chance of reaching such a spot on current form EVER! May not get picked for our next test tours. Munaf will come ahead of him for the WI tour and for England PK will be in the reckoning now. Link to comment

ViruRulez
:yay: :yay: He is no 1 bowler in bowling leg stump line :yay: :yay: He is no 1 bowler in not having any control :yay: :yay: He is truly no 1 fast bowler, from the bottom :cantstop: He faded even sooner than IKP and RP and even Munna. He is still a kid and might need to retire going by his depreciating form. :giggle: Link to comment
The Realist
What a huge let down and what a time to have the worst series of your career. Never looked in any rhythm at all and was an unwilling bowler. Perhpas needs a season of county cricket if he can land a contract and should be kept away from IPL. He would be useless in county cricket, his weedy body would not be able to hack the intense schedule and his pathetic short pitched bowling would be smashed. Bearing in mind that he BLEEDS runs in limited over cricket and that county cricket has lots of 20/20 and 50/40 over games, why on earth would a county team go anywhere near this sorry excuse for a bowler. Sooda
He had a very poor first test and was crap today, but he was ok in the SA first innings this test and in the last test ... put good effort in. Overall not very good for sure, but I dont think the stats do justice to it... His spell to Boucher was the turning point, really allowed him to settle with some quick runs when just tying him down would have put him under pressure given his lack of form, and exposed the tail Id agree with Sane though, we should try out Munaf and Praveen. Could those two and Mithun make the WI squad ahead of Sharma, Yadav and Unad? Mithun has not exactly set the domestic scene alight from what Iv heard Link to comment
rkt.india
he is still young...he is still pretty raw..though he was not consistent but he was aster than an y Indian bowler consistently....now he needs time off to rectify the errors which have crept in his bowling action and run up...he has 2 months off after this series...he needs work in NCA with coaches to get back to what he was in 2008... BeautifulGame
The best thing happened to him was playing alongside steyn in IPL.He would have learned a lot about how to bowl spells in test cricket discussing with him than being coached by any bowling coach. Its clearly noticeable he was aiming for line and length and reserving his strength for long spells rather than getting tired in a single spell by going full throttle.Steyn is an expert at this and always as menacing in his later spells just like in his first spells. gakgupta
Having said that indian curators like flat pitches, it will be difficult for a indian bowler to accomplish this, esp pace bowlers.... Link to comment
jonas10
Ishant had Wasim for KKR and then Steyn this year...i dont know about his work ethic but he should have a plethora of information on what it takes to be a #1 seamer. Link to comment
