According to police, the Elgin Apartment Residents Association complained that there had been loud noise emanating from the rented apartment of the cricketer, disturbing peace of the residents living in the complex. "We have warned him and asked him to ensure that such an incident is not repeated again," said DCP G Ramesh. The residents also complained of a low wall on the terrace having been broken and the guests having rebuked security guard personnel when approached. Sreesanth said it was "more of a cake-cutting ceremony. "Ten-fifteen of my close friends came, it went about 11.45. After that whatever happened, I have no idea. Only in the morning when I saw the newspaper that I came to know about it," Sreesanth told Times Now news channel. "None came to talk to me...Don't know how Sreesanth came into the picture. It has nothing to do with Sreesanth," he said. The cricketer and his family informed the police that their guests were watching a popular film on home theatre system, leading to the loud sound. According to police, the family claimed that some of the guests had gone up to the terrace and were posing for photographs against a wall, which was fragile and collapsed. One of Sreesanth's friends was injured and had to be rushed for medical aid, the family said.

Obviously, Sreesanth does have the habit of creating some headline or the other every now and then, but its not like there was devious reasons behind 'em, like a hit-and-run accident case or him assaulting someone else. Even better, like some of his Pakistani counterparts, he isnt in choppy waters for doing stuff like comsuming contraband and performance enhancing substances. The man's a natural, likes to be himself, whats wrong with that? Should EVERY cricketer be the Sachin-Dravid-Kumble type, with their usual PC self? Let me put it this way. If a normal person gets warned by the police for playing some loud music or having a over-exuberant b'day bash, we tend to excuse those instances much easily. But, just coz Sree's a cricketer, he gets roasted for trivial offenses. The fact of the matter is, we're so used to this stereotypical image of our national cricketers doing nothing but playing cricket and giving boring interviews, that if we find the odd case where a cricketer has some fun and lets his hair lose, then most of us hammer him left, right and center. Strange.... The kind of things for which Sree gets into trouble is absolutely bull-dust, compared to what some celebs do in the West. And its not like they get ostracized in the society beyond that. I pity guys like Sree and Bhajji, guys who wear their hearts on their sleeves. We need guys like them, otherwise things get bloody boring, honestly.

Im not referring to this incident but in general ... unless he starts a game well, he doesnt know how to bounce back. When on song, he is our best pace bowler.

Its very easy to sit in the comfortable environs of our living room and pass all sorts of comments about the celebs. Who knows what troubles they're enduring? I think more than anything else, its jealousy and envy that makes people go ultra-critical when it comes to having a go at stars. Quite blatantly, they dont give a flying eff about his/her behavior and whatever not. Rather, they see it as their golden chance to have a go at these people, just to mellow their inner frustrations borne out of envy.

The ability to be able to out-think an opposition batsman even if things arent going well for you. remember the way Ishant set up Hayden in the 4th ODI in Melbourne earlier this year during the CB series. I dont think Sreesanth could have executed that plan after being hit for 18 runs in the previous over (as Ishant did).

All I said was that Sreesanth gets unduly critcized and demonized for some really trivial transgressions. Hope you discern the difference.
